1. Who we are
J AND K WEB COLLECTIVE (PTY) LTD provides Little Kicks. This policy describes the current app’s handling of personal information. Contact support@jnkwebcollective.co.za for privacy questions or requests.
2. Information you enter
The app can store your name, baby nickname, estimated due date, gestational age, care provider name, hospital and telephone number. It also stores movement timestamps, types, session counts and durations, contraction times and perceived intensity, and preferences such as counting routine, active window, theme and haptic feedback. Pregnancy and tracking records can be sensitive health information. Enter only information you are comfortable keeping on your device and care-team contact details you are entitled to use.
3. Purpose and storage
Little Kicks uses these records to display your observations, calculate tracking summaries and prepare reports you request. The current app stores these records locally and does not require an account, upload them to our own servers or include advertising or analytics SDKs. Optional profile information may be left blank; missing information will limit personalisation and report details. The app does not independently verify your observations.
4. Sharing, websites and backups
When you export or share a report, it may contain profile and health information. You choose the destination using your device’s sharing controls. The receiving app, person or service then handles its copy under its own policies. Review recipients before sharing. Opening our legal pages or an external guidance link sends a normal web request to that website, whose policies apply. Your operating system, backup provider or device settings may back up app data; this is separate from any app-operated cloud service and may involve storage outside South Africa.
5. Security and retention
Local storage uses the app’s device sandbox. We do not claim that the app database has separate app-level encryption. Protect your device with a passcode, current software and appropriate backup settings. No device or transfer can be guaranteed secure. Records remain locally until removed through available controls or app-data deletion. Uninstalling generally removes the local app container but does not remove exported reports, recipients’ copies or operating-system backups. Temporary report files can remain in the app cache until cleared by the system or app removal.
6. Your choices and rights
You can review your entries, change available profile/preferences controls, export reports and remove local app data using your device settings. Some records do not yet have individual editing controls. Contact us for help with access, correction, deletion or objections relating to information we hold, including correspondence you send us. We cannot retrieve records stored only on your device. Rights under applicable law, including South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, remain available. You may raise a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
7. Support and children
If you contact support, we receive the information you send and use it to respond and maintain necessary support records. Avoid sending health reports unless needed for your request. The app is intended for people tracking a pregnancy and their authorised supporters, not for children to create independent profiles. A baby nickname is optional and is not a separate child account.
8. Policy changes
We will update this page and its effective date when app data practices change. Material new processing will require an updated explanation and any permissions required by law before it starts. This policy does not assert HIPAA certification or guarantee regulatory compliance.
