1. Agreement and provider
These terms govern use of Little Kicks, provided by J AND K WEB COLLECTIVE (PTY) LTD. By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it. Contact support@jnkwebcollective.co.za with questions. Applicable app-store terms also apply.
2. What the app does
Little Kicks is a personal recording tool for movements, counting sessions and contractions. Summaries and exports are calculated from entries you record. It does not continuously monitor a pregnancy, contact a clinician, provide emergency services or guarantee notification delivery. Care-team contact details are entered by you and are not an affiliation or triage service.
3. Medical limitations
The app does not diagnose, prescribe, assess fetal wellbeing or determine whether labour has started. Counts, timing patterns, targets and completion labels cannot confirm that a pregnancy is safe. Follow your clinician’s individual instructions. If movements decrease, stop or change, contact your maternity team immediately rather than waiting for an app target or timer. Seek appropriate urgent care whenever concerned. Reports are self-recorded summaries, not certified medical records.
4. Responsible use
Use the app lawfully and enter accurate information to the best of your knowledge. Keep care contact details current. You are responsible for choosing report recipients and protecting shared copies. Do not enter another person’s information without appropriate authority. Do not misuse, interfere with or attempt unauthorised access to the app or related services.
5. Permission to use and ownership
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive permission to use the app for its intended purpose. You retain rights to your own entries. The app’s code, branding and original design remain ours or our licensors’. Nothing restricts rights that applicable law permits regardless of these terms.
6. Reliability, changes and data
Features may change, contain errors or become unavailable. Timings depend on your inputs and device behaviour. Keep exports of records you need; device loss, deletion or backup failures may cause loss. We do not promise cloud recovery or uninterrupted operation. 7. Liability and consumer rights
To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the app will meet every need or be error-free, and are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate entries, inappropriate reliance on tracking results or third-party services. Nothing excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under applicable South African consumer law. These terms do not require you to waive statutory protections.
8. Ending use and updates
You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. Previously exported copies and backups may remain. We may update these terms to reflect material app or legal changes and will publish the effective date. Where legally required, we will provide notice or obtain agreement. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued statutory rights.
9. Governing law and contact
South African law governs these terms, subject to mandatory protections and rights to seek remedies that apply where you live. Contact support@jnkwebcollective.co.za to discuss an issue before pursuing formal remedies where practical; this does not prevent urgent relief or a complaint to a competent authority.
