Terms and Conditions – Quick Tools

Welcome to Quick Tools. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Quick Tools mobile application (“App”, “Service”) operated by J AND K WEB COLLECTIVE (PTY) LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Nature of the App

Quick Tools is an Android utility toolbox designed to provide everyday convenience features such as flashlight controls, compass, magnifier, bubble level, screen light, unit conversion, digital ruler, timer and stopwatch, battery information, and device information.

The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

2. Utility Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Quick Tools is provided for convenience purposes only.

The App does not guarantee professional-grade accuracy for navigation, measurement, levelling, environmental readings, battery diagnostics, or device diagnostics. Compass headings, ruler estimates, slope readings, sensor values, and other outputs should be independently verified where precision, safety, travel, maintenance, or professional decision-making matters.

You remain responsible for how you use the App and any decisions made using its outputs.

3. Eligibility

By using the App, you confirm that:

  • You have the legal capacity to accept these Terms in your jurisdiction
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • You accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy

4. Purchases and Advertisements

4.1 Advertisements

The free version of the App may display banner advertisements served through Google AdMob.

4.2 Remove Ads Purchase

The App may offer a one-time in-app purchase to remove advertisements.

  • Purchases are processed through Google Play Billing
  • Billing, refunds, cancellations, and restoration are governed by Google Play policies
  • We do not collect or store payment card information

4.3 Third-Party Services

Google services such as Google Play Billing and Google AdMob may process certain device or transaction-related information according to Google’s own privacy policies.

5. Permissions and Device Features

Certain tools rely on device permissions or hardware features such as camera access, torch support, motion sensors, orientation sensors, magnetic sensors, battery reporting, storage access, and screen brightness controls.

If your device does not support a required feature, or if you deny a required permission, some App functionality may be limited or unavailable.

If you choose to save a magnifier snapshot, that image is stored on your device or in your device gallery under your control.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • Misuse the App
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the App
  • Use the App in a way that violates any law or third-party rights
  • Represent the App’s readings or outputs as guaranteed professional measurements

You are responsible for your device, your Google Play account, and your own use of the App.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the App, including its branding, design, software, functionality, and content, remain the property of J AND K WEB COLLECTIVE (PTY) LTD or its licensors.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal use in accordance with these Terms.

8. Service Availability

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App at any time for maintenance, security, operational, legal, or performance-related reasons.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the App.

9. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The App will always be available
  • The App will always be free from defects or interruptions
  • The App will function on every Android device or Android version
  • Every utility feature will be supported by your device hardware
  • The App’s measurements, headings, or readings will be accurate for professional or safety-critical use

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, J AND K WEB COLLECTIVE (PTY) LTD WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP OR RELATED PURCHASES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

11. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When material changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date above.

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
