These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Quick Tools mobile application ("App", "Service"), provided by J AND K WEB COLLECTIVE (PTY) LTD ("we", "us", "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Nature of the App
Quick Tools is an Android utility toolbox designed to provide everyday convenience features such as flashlight controls, compass, magnifier, QR scanning, QR generation, bubble level, screen light, unit conversion, digital ruler, timer and stopwatch, battery information, and device information.
The App is intended for personal, non-commercial convenience use.
2. Utility disclaimer
Quick Tools is provided for convenience purposes only.
The App does not guarantee professional-grade accuracy for navigation, measurement, levelling, environmental readings, battery diagnostics, device diagnostics, QR detection, or generated QR code compatibility. Compass headings, ruler estimates, slope readings, sensor values, QR results, and other outputs should be independently verified where precision, safety, travel, maintenance, security, financial, legal, or professional decision-making matters.
You remain responsible for how you use the App and any decisions made using its outputs.
3. QR scanning and QR generation
The QR Scanner shows scanned content to you before you choose an action. The App does not automatically open scanned links.
You are responsible for reviewing QR results before opening, copying, sharing, or relying on them. QR codes may contain unsafe links, misleading text, or other content created by third parties.
The QR Generator can create QR codes from text, URLs, and Wi-Fi network details. If you generate or share a Wi-Fi QR code, you are responsible for the network name, password, and any access you choose to disclose.
Generated QR codes are convenience outputs. We do not guarantee that every scanner, printer, screen, app, network, or device will read or use every generated QR code correctly.
4. Eligibility
By using the App, you confirm that:
- you have the legal capacity to accept these Terms in your jurisdiction
- you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy
5. Purchases and advertisements
The free version of the App may display banner advertisements served through Google AdMob.
The App may offer a one-time in-app purchase to remove advertisements. Purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Billing, refunds, cancellations, taxes, regional pricing, and restoration are governed by Google Play policies.
We do not collect or store payment card information.
Google services such as Google Play Billing and Google AdMob may process certain device, advertising, or transaction-related information according to Google's own privacy policies.
6. Permissions and device features
Certain tools rely on device permissions or hardware features such as camera access, gallery or photo picker access, torch support, motion sensors, orientation sensors, magnetic sensors, battery reporting, storage access, screen brightness controls, and Android sharing features.
If your device does not support a required feature, or if you deny a required permission, some App functionality may be limited or unavailable.
If you choose to save a magnifier snapshot or generated QR PNG, that image is stored on your device or in your device gallery under your control.
7. User responsibilities
You agree not to:
- misuse the App
- attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with, or interfere with the App
- use the App in a way that violates any law or third-party rights
- represent the App's readings, scans, generated QR codes, or outputs as guaranteed professional measurements, security checks, or verified results
- use QR generation to share credentials or content you are not authorized to share
- interfere with advertising, purchase flows, or platform security
You are responsible for your device, your Google Play account, your QR content, and your own use of the App.
8. Intellectual property
All rights, title, and interest in the App, including its branding, design, software, functionality, and original content, remain the property of J AND K WEB COLLECTIVE (PTY) LTD or its licensors.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal use in accordance with these Terms.
9. Service availability
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App at any time for maintenance, security, operational, legal, or performance-related reasons.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the App.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not warrant that:
- the App will always be available
- the App will always be free from defects or interruptions
- the App will function on every Android device or Android version
- every utility feature will be supported by your device hardware
- the App's measurements, headings, scans, generated QR codes, or readings will be accurate for professional, security-sensitive, or safety-critical use
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, J AND K WEB COLLECTIVE (PTY) LTD will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
We are not responsible for third-party QR code content, unsafe links contained in QR codes, user-shared Wi-Fi credentials, device hardware limitations, or decisions made in reliance on App outputs.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App or related purchases in the 12 months before the claim arose.
12. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by the Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When material changes are made, we will update the Last Updated date above.
Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your jurisdiction.
